does anyone had ever had some issues to install AA performance 36 hp rockers shafts 1,15 on a 36 hp engine?
problem is that the pushrods cut to lenght hit the pushrods tubes and make the play adjustment impossible !
the pushrods are 9,6 mm diameter
do i have to use another type of oushrods a bit thinner?
thanks for your help

Looks like you may need to machine the heads and the case for the 1600cc pushrod tubes I would buy the spring loaded jaycee pushrods if I were you .......or weld and machine the head tube hole up but the tubes rely on the tubes to drain the oil back to the case so that will be a problem...best bet is just to machine case and head to the later 1600cc tubes ..or look for speedwell rocker arms those seem to have no clearance problems ....looks like these aa 1.25 rockers they just shorten the lower pushrod side up ....without off set mounting ...these aa rockers need the head and case modifications to the bigger wider pushrod tube for clearance....just one headache after another for a person who has there case together you may need to tear the engine apart for the machining or look for speedwell rockers which are offset " pushrod/adjusters are centered to the stock 36hp pushrod tube hole".... |

I had the same problem. I made pushrods from the 8 mm tubs of the 36hp pushrods. They cleare the pushrodtube with a minimum. |

You are using 3/8" cromemoly pushrods. That is a no go, and no need for anyway, unless you are reving it to 6 grand or more... You need to cut and shorten a set of stock pushrods and they will clear. But as Bengt says, it is tight. Another solution is to cut the heads for 34 hp pushrods. But most people don“t like to have to do that. |

You need to clearance the top of the hole on the head, to give it some more room. Mine are close but don't touch. Alloy stock 1600 push rod was used with the 2 piece lifters. |
