Registration for Syncrofest opened up recently - www.syncro-fest.com. Who's going this year? I've wanted to go for a few years and never made it, but this year I'm going. I'll be in Santa Cruz for a conference the week before so there's no excuse for me not to go.

Anyone from San Diego planning to go?

Wow an event posting that has event name, location, date (+year) in the subject title?

============

Pretty sure event postings usually omit such pertinent info...
to limit attendees...
'cuz they fill up too fast
with Van people who use calendars.
You know the kind.

Leaving no space for the cool cats,
,,,,, the last minute planners,
the free souls on the road,
yaaah we’re only 2 or 3 days out,
I think I can make that....

I’m really trying to. I’m doing my clutch and having the transmission gone through by Rancho

Im a Carlsbad guy who lives in the PNW now, does that count?

I don't think Id want to go the entire time, what's the deal if I just want to bring the syncro down for a night? I get claustrophobic at busy campgrounds...

Ya gotta have a ticket to get in..

You can come camp in the loser lot outside of the event, not so busy there

I'm seriously thinking of going. Then again, I was going to BBB and that fell apart. Life is in the way at the moment.

If I were to buy a ticket and could not go, can I transfer it to someone else?

Every year I see people posting them.

uniWerks Design will be there again this year! :-)

Look for a particular "Beardo" seving up drinks at the Sunset Drifter's Party. ;-)

I'll also be donating a bunch of my products for the raffle.

Also to note, come see me if you are looking for something in particular for me to make for you. ;-)

Cheers!
Chris

What's SyncroFest? Asking for a friend.

Fun event... even more fun when you get some dirt and mud on the van. Plenty of 2WD routes available for everyone to have fun.

Your van is not dinged enough, I'm sorry I won't add to it this year to make it look tuffer.

How's the camping situation? Are vans packed in there like sardines or is there some space between campers?

People make their own corral space between friends.
Plenty room and you can always camp towards the entrance, shit ton of room, inside or outside the "gate"
It doesn't feel packed to me, busy, yes, but lovely!

Perfect, very helpful info, thanks

Curious if this is a kid friendly event, or is there a lot of partying going on? Just curious about the vibe. I’m not one to judge, and don’t mind people enjoying a beer or 4, but if it’s a drunk fest I’m not sure I’d want to bring the kiddos. Are there noise curfews?

Thanks

There are activities for the little ones throughout the weekend and GoWesty usually brings their big bounce House. The last night (Saturday night) Bus Labs usually puts on a little party that can go a bit late but as long as you are not right next to them it shouldn't be much of a noise issue. Hope to see you and the kidos there!
