Would anybody be interested in ((( Type 4 exhaust Stubs, oval port )))
I made a deal with my wife to ask, :D
As I just got a new Tig welder so I can do a new exhaust for my buggy.
I am looking to use either stainless steel or mild steel pipe.
As of right now, I only have Mig wire feed and oxy acetylene so I used
that excuse it to get the Tig. anyone interest let me know. |

So are you thinking of just building and selling exhaust stubs, as in the little short bits next to the heads or complete exhaust systems?
To me the market is crying for choices in complete systems for type 4 engines. |

I was just thinking about the stubs with a 6" or longer straight section that you could start with, and finish to your liking.
I could make a full set. just have to pick up a doner motor to mock it up on.
it is something to think about. I did find a set of that replace the heater boxes only and hook up to the muffler but there $550.00 |

All you need then is a head. If we were closer I would donate one. |

That last post was exciting, until the indefinite article spoiled it. |

I have few shops here in town and one that is closing down, I am going to see if they have junk parts I could put together for a mock up. if I need to I can pay you the shipping to send a junk head if you have one. |

huh? they are like 230 bux at the current exchange rate

I dunno, I value my time more than that. by the time you buy all the shit and do it, it will cost you 500 to make them
I mean, it's literally 57.50 for each one. but, whatever |

I did not look far enough but thanks. when you get 4 more flanges and gaskets and add shipping it comes out to 78.07euro each that's $80.66 US
I put them in the basket, and looked up shipping. and the price and shipping changed with every different destination so I will make my own.
but again thanks for bring them to my attention. |

CIP1 sells them. a few US vendors do
My point is, you will spend more in time and material than they are worth. if you don't value either, then that's fine
i don't know... the older I get the less interest I have in trying to make every last part but that said you will lose $$ for sure trying to make these for people |
