Hello,
Looking for glovebox photos of a KDF Type 82e please. Purchased new metal boxes for my reproduction Type 82e - don’t know if the originals were welded
in or screwed in.
Thanks
Mike

By screws, even 1948 cars have holes for screws although the gloveboxes were welded in.
Was it so that the original 82E boxes were made of cardboard but destroyed easily in heavy use that time and replaced by metal? There were several different designs for the replacements. |

Mike, for what it's worth, the simplest method would probably be the what was originally used, welding at this point might be problematic. I'm welding in mine so I can access the speedo pod if I have to . Gene |

Hello Gene,
I think that is exactly what I am going to do.
Welding at this point is going to be an issue ... tight working space.
So, next question is ... two screws or four screws ?
Thanks,
Mike |
