Hello,

I acquired a 6-volt BOSCH horn that was mistakenly installed in a 12-volt 912 and the horn got fried.

My question is this: can this horn be brought back from the dead or is it a lost cause?

Check the resistance of the coil. If it is not an open circuit, the internal contact might just be burnt and need cleaning and/or adjustment.
The wires are pretty robust so I doubt the coil wire itself burnt up. Maybe...
