I have a 62 on BRMs. I really love the Fuchs. I have heard that I need to convert to Porsche pattern disk brakes to accommodate the Fuchs.. Is that necessary or can I use the adapters?

If so, why the need to convert?

Thank you in advance for your help

BRM's are 5x205
Real Fuchs are 5x130

So you either need adapters or drums/rotors with a 5x130 bolt pattern.

Personally I feel adapters are not the best choice.

I am not a fan of adaptors. No I have not had any fail but I don't like the problems that come with the extra offset especially on the front axle. Take the time to do it right, get drums or discs, whichever you are running, drilled to the correct bolt pattern for the wheels you want to run.

Actually in my jurisdiction, adaptors are considered wheel spacers and are not legal on the street. I have never heard of anyone having run amuck of the law on this but it is there in the books.
