Has anyone here used Passport America before?
A local campground I frequent now offers a 50% discount with it, and I’m curious if anyone has personal experience—good or bad—using the membership.

We usually do free off the grid camping but sometimes we don't mind paying.

Few local to my south and central California area.
All depends on what you are looking for, and how often you would use it; also, day use or overnight?

Where can I use my Annual Pass?
Please contact a site directly if you have a question about pass acceptance and fees.
The Forest Service, the National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, and US Army Corp of Engineers honor the Annual Pass at sites where Entrance or Standard Amenity Fee(s) (Day use fees) are charged.

Quote: The "California Explorer" Annual Pass at $195 offers the most value including the popular Southern California beaches along the Orange, Los Angeles and San Diego Coasts like Huntington Beach, Leo Carrillo and Carlsbad State Beaches. This pass is also honored at most parks throughout the state that are operated by California State Parks and charge a vehicle day use fee. |
