Hi again,
Still picking away at things. Current struggle is a rear seat that’s hard to slide. The pins are releasing but there seems to be too much friction. Add to this, one of the bushing strips doesn’t stay put (in spite of my re-glueing attempts).
Any suggestions to make it move more easily? Or just to reattach that strip (I’m thinking to drill/tap/countersink a few screws or perhaps rivets).
Thanks |

Know that the sliding seat has rollers on its leading edge. These roller wheels are adjustable, and they are often putting too much or too little support in the whole system, and therefore often applying too much friction to the movement of the seat. Start there.

Thanks. I had no idea.
Between that and making the pins pull up a bit more I’m shocked at how much better it is. It’s still hanging up where the top transitions from metal to poly (?) and back, but it’s astonishingly better.
I’ll fiddle some more today. |
