Hi everyone, I'm performing a restoration on a pair of 32 pbic solex carburetors for a customer, this has been quite challenging finding parts that were needed for it,, I'm finally getting to the point of assembling them but I have run into another small bump in the road, the accelerator pump actuating rod off the throttle shaft is short to the pivot arm, for my research I found that they make two different styles the one I have here pictured and another one that has an adjustable nut that appears to be longer,
I cannot find this one for sale anywhere also the pivot arm off the diaphragm cover from what I found out looks like there are three different options, so from what I gather it appears that I have the wrong combination of the actuating rod and the lever arm and I'm trying to figure out what I need if anybody has experience here it would be much appreciated, thanks.

Have you already tried at Mercedes Benz, Solex France, Stoddard or at dealers in Germany?

I have been searching the internet at a bunch of places, I did check at Stoddard's and they do not have it, but I did not check at the others that you had recommended so I will search them, so you're saying check at an actual Mercedes-Benz dealer? I guess I can Google solex dealers in Germany

Anyone else with any input or maybe know of anyone that deals with these types of carburetors?
Thanks again.

Joe ruiz aka "mr.okrasa " can get you the parts he rebuilds them carbs all the time https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=791029
...you can also try the after market to wolfsburg west sells new solex 32 pbic carbs I bet they can get parts for you as well ...

Joe Ruiz rebuilt my carbs and he might have spare parts. He just sold me two throttle arms so I could get my carbs to work with the CSP linkage on my Okrasa motor build. He was very helpful and his price for the arms was extremely reasonable.

Here are the part you are looking for:

Good shot of the accelerator pump rod and pivot arm, I think that's exactly what I need, thanks guys for the advice on Ruiz, although I did check with him about 6 months ago and he says he doesn't sell parts, but I will try him again and see maybe at this point he'll sell me what I need to finish these carburetors up, I did try Wolfsburg and about six other big-name suppliers online but these particular parts that I need are not available new and I've been trying to hunt them down used and hard to find any particular specs on these at all, but I appreciate it guys I will check with ruiz.

I just barely have enough of those accelerator pump rods and related hardware to make a few more sets for my rebuilds. These parts are always worn and servicing them is difficult if they are too worn out. At one point, I thought of having them made since I couldn't find any suppliers. If you check with ALFA 1750 on ebay in Italy, they may have what you need. Cheers.

I appreciate your response! I did check with Alpha but he does not have the threaded rod with the adjustable nuts, so I'm thinking about purchasing rods that I seen on line to modify them to what I need, I do have Machining equipment here at the house, if you're able could you give me the length measurement of the threaded rod at the bend to the tip of the threads that would be very helpful, thank you.

You can just buy an aftermarket 32 carb from wolfsburg west and just use it for the parts ...

Well the thing is the rod is the only thing I need for the two carburetors everything else I have and is pretty much done, if I were to purchase those carburetors it would cost me over $400 and all I would be using are the rods, I've come across some other rods that are very similar that I think I will be able to adapt no problem I'm looking into that route right now.

Here are some detailed images of the linkage. It’s 70mm from the end of the rod to the bend in the rod.

Awesome, thanks so much Loren! I saw some where else that it was about 70mm so that confirms it, I found some rods that are real close, I should be able to alter and fabricate what I need to get as close as stock form and function.

Thanks again!
