So, doing some stuff on the bug..

Engine is a 1835 cc which I built last year, all new parts, probably has about a 1000 miles on it.

Among others, pulled the carbs, because it had a lot off popping when coasting without load..
But would run fine once the rpm's came up.

Took them apart, and found on idle jet blocked, so cleaning it out should take care of things.

While I was at it, with the carbs and manifolds out of the car, I pulled the plugs, all in a nice light brown color.

Did a compression check, and showed 125-130 on all cylinders.

So, it's all good !

Yay! Always feels good to know after miles of driving, things are all good. I did only a top end from 1600 to thick wall 1679 about two years ago. Similar on last spark plug change. All looked good, compression was 125 across the board. Whew! I must have done something right.
