View original topic: new rear floor rubber mat

I was thinking of buying one of these since my floor currently just has a piece of plywood in it. Any issues i should consider before purchase? Seems to have a hollow matrix type core on the back. Since I have a campmobile I'm a bit concerned this wouldn't work out right with the wooden pieces and rear bench wood parts.

The rubber mats are for buses with three rows of seats. Campmobile cabinets don’t fit with them unless you cut up the rubber mat, and even then the rubber will have holes for a middle seat and seatbelts.

I have rubber and carpet in my bus interior, and I prefer rubber for the driver seat area and carpet for the “living space” in the back of the camper. Someone here will remember that great website that sells all the camper stuff like floor mats, cabinet bits, etc. I can’t recall at the moment.

Thanks for the quick reply. I almost bought the wrong one...had it in my shopping cart ready to go.

You’d make it work, and it would be adequate…

I have to say, going back and looking at the picture it doesn’t seem to have holes for accessories… the one I bought ten years ago did. It’s probably worth a phone call. Wolfsburg West sells their own mat and will answer the phone and go look if you have questions. Maybe the new mats are solid and don’t have holes!

But yeah, getting out of bed in the morning is much more pleasant on carpet than rubber.

^^^^^
i’m with robbie in preferring carpet. lots of places carry bus carpets, much of it made by tmi. bus depot, cip, etc.

give nla vw a try. i’ve had good luck with them.

I’m a fan of the Duradek type deck membrane, it’s thick, durable, textured and comes in a variety of colors. We just went to a deck shop and asked if they had any roll ends
