As the subject notes, with a spray of starter fluid and a dribble of fuel the car runs and then dies - much like fuel starvation.
I disconnected the hose to the pump and got zilch. I disconnected the hose from the pump to the carb and got zilch.
I disconnected the coil wire and cranked the motor hoping to prime the pump and got zilch.
Should I hear my pump actuating?
Before I dive in with a new fuel pump, any suggestions?
What a great start to the day(pun intended),

This is where to start. The line from the tank TO the fuel pump inlet must be clear to allow gasoline to flow. Disconnect the inlet line to the fuel pump; maybe jack up the front, or use rags and compressor in the fill pipe to see if gas will flow out the inlet line to the fuel pump. |
