| Any good or bad reason why I should or shouldn’t use a 30pict2 carb for my 40hp engine, wanted to do a big bore conversion in future along with Aircooled vintage Sebring style exhaust, Bosch 4r5 distributor? |

| The distributor will not work with that carburetor. Starting with the 30 PICT the vacuum signal got stronger than what you need. I assume you have a 28 on there now. That one has the correct vacuum signal for your distributor vacuum canister. |

| If/when you do the big bore and change to the 30 PICT 2 you will want to find either a 113 M or T distributor or go with a mechanical advance only distributor. The 113 M or T are vacuum advance only aluminum bodied. |
