The Bus forum has a successful Working Trucks thread. How about one for Working Beetles? Here is mine carrying 4 - 50 liter lawn soil bags in the front and a couple behind the front seats.

Holly smolly, that looks like my Bug, Turkis green, but you got white walls, very sharp.

Id remove the passenger seat to haul welding tanks in mine.

We all had CJs back then and we busted on him for buying that because it was too " plush".

I don't have pics but, my stepdad used his Beetle like it was a Kombi. He was an industrial chemist. He would remove the passenger front seat and the space was just big enough that a 55 gallon drum would fit. It was loaded and unloaded with a fork lift!

When we moved him into our home he strapped a pool table like top to the roof and moved his stuff in that manner. Back seat was stuffed too with one or two kids crammed into the passenger front seat.

They weren't collector cars just yet!

Thanks. I can only see partial photos of your car. Care to share or point me in the right direction to find photos of your Beetle?

I don't know if this really counts as working, but the car sure did. We got married on the cape of cod 12 years ago Sunday. 600 plus miles, 2 coolers plus all of our other luggage, 40 horses and rte 84 all in a long weekend wasn't exactly an easy ride.

Well, it does remove most weeds from Mrs. Cusser's horse arena, but the drag is primarily to make the footing better in the area for Mrs. Cusser's horse. Mrs. Cusser likes excitement between her legs.

Some decades ago my city had a Bug based " sand rail" outfitted to spray paint the strips on the roads. It used to be parked in the city road maintenance lot. Dam, I wish I had a photo of it. It had tanks for the paint, and spray nozzles on booms, and what appeared to be a compressor or pump.

I guess this is a working Beetle, though I guess someone can find an actual photo of a sixties Beetle.
