Hi all, i am assembling a 1900 ccbased on a 912 case for a street car,
after checking connecting rods side play i found 0,35 mm side play
Porsche specs is between ,010 and 0,30
my rods are brand new H type so i would like to use them
Is it a big issue and risk to be over that tolerances for 0,05 mm?
what could be the effect on the engine running?
thanks in advance |

,010 and 0,30 is in Inches not MM. .35mm=0.0137795 in your OK |

More side clearance means more oil will be slinged to the undersides of the pistons increasing the cooling of the top end, it's what us old timer turbochargers street racers did, grind the sides of the other rods then balance them. |
