I recently drove 1959 Sedan 5000 miles. Had wiper problems. Motor almost seized. Replaced the armature from a newer 6 volt motor. The original motor had the little ball at the end of the armature shaft fall out. The wipers work fine at idle but when i accelerate the wipers go faster and either hit the rubber at the bottom of the stroke or hit or go psst the rubber at the top of the stroke. I have numerous wiper set ups and took a good set of shafts from one and rebuilt the wiper set up with new plastic bushings. I have original screw terminal wiper motor set up in the car. It is SWF. I have 3 wiper set ups with Bosch motors. Have not tried one yet. Question is is there a way to limit the speed of the wipers when the car is traveling at speed? I like having the screw terminal wire set up but could upgrade to push on connector motor.
Thanks for your help.

What about voltage? Your car is still 6 volts an not more than max 8,1 volts on terminal D+ and B+ on regulator?

Thank you for the help. Voltage test at the regulator was over 9.8 and climbing. I imagine the voltage regulator is bad. Let me know. I test on the large hot wire at the rear of the regulator.
