The secondary air injection pump on my 95 EVC is dead. Wondering if anyone has repaired/rebuilt one,....or if there are other VWs/Audis that will have this air pump.

They're basically overpriced air mattress inflators. You can probably modify a VR6 secondary air pump to work. |

Take a look at FCP for a Pierburg OE replacement. Used on tons of cars, so there should be decently cheap options out there. |

There are threads in vwvortex about rotating some part of the SAI pump used on Jettas etc from that era so it will work. Probably the best option. |

I have replaced the blower and the pump at different times, all ebay parts
this was on a 2001 vr6.
Plus those vacuum hoses |

The 1995 parts are 100% NLA unless somebody is parting a van out. I'd rather modify another new part then use a 30 year old part that was prone to failuare from the get go.
My SAI system is bypassed/eliminated. I honestly don't know exactly how that was done though because my local shop did it. |

Brian,
I literally just pulled this 2002 pump out of my trash can, and today is trash day. It came from that junkyard Eurovan down in south Austin. You can have it for free (beer). It looks like it may have been cooked by a bad combi valve, but might be good for experimentation.
I'm going to be working on my friend's 2002 Weekender from 9:30AM to noon on Saturday, if you want to stop by.
