Hello All. I'm in the process of tossing my 1954 back together. In doing this, I realized the seats (in particular) the slides are not the same as the later beetles such as the ones in my old 1964. It seems that my passenger seat is missing the actual slides and adjuster from the bottom to mate up the the slides on the floor pan. Does anyone have a photo of what they should look like? Perhaps some dimensions so I can fab a set? Does anyone produce them?

Mika fabricates them. They are sold in the classified section. Let me go get a link for you!

Thanks Jimbo! I may still try to copy in some form what's on the drivers seat just to get the passenger mounted for now. We are having an open house at work next weekend and I'd like to take some people for a ride if possible :) If it's not one thing it's another with this car. :) |

The driver’s front seat has one rail higher than the other rail. It is the left rail. It is taller that the right one by around 1/4”. The right one is the same height as the passenger seat left and right rails. Just so you know. Not clear as to why. I think it has something to do with the clutch pedal, but I don’t know!
You can see the height difference in Mika’s picture.https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1419255 |

You’re right, the 1954 seat rails are totally different from later models. Wolfsburg West might be your best bet for parts or references. |
