I'm making this post to show the different variations of Devon interiors in a split bus.
To start, I'm featuring the interior I just finished restoring for my 1959 Swedish Mango bus, with the cargo doors on the left.
It's complete with the small Easycool cooler and the Dudley gas stove on the door.
I had to change the orientation of all the furniture because the previous owner had changed it to fit his bus, which had the cargo doors on the right.
A lot of work, but happy with the result now, and my first night was last weekend at the Volks'n'Roll in Italy.
All that's left is to find or create the furniture that goes under the table support that's hooked to the headliner.
Now it's your turn to show off your Devon interiors.

The angle of those settees looks comfortable. I love that stove setup. |

Wait... So you swapped the cargo doors from the standard passenger side (of the left hand drive) to the drivers side? Am I missing something here? |

It is a Swedish bus. Before they switched to driving on the right side it was common to have the cargo doors on the left hand driver side. |

I guess I did miss something here. So much to learn about OUS.
Thanks, carry on... |

Hi LeRaph the cooker is a Dudley the same as yours but the wind shield on mine is a hammered green colour I'm not sure if yours been painted white at some time ? but yes it's a very rare cool thing to have, usable in doors or out doors just by opening or shutting the door
just be careful of those cast iron gas burner pan rings they can fall out when folding it down if your not careful and you wouldn't want them to fall on a hard surface and smash you would struggle to get replacements
You have a cool bus too I love mango buses .
Cheers phil :D |
