I’m getting a Subi conversion in my Vanagon. I’m having the old engine rebuilt and I’d like to install it in an 85 weekender I just purchased. The weekender is currently running an older rabbit engine. I’m looking for someone or a shop within 200 miles of my location, just east of Los Angeles, to do this work. I’m looking for recommendations for that install and will also be looking to sell that rabbit engine once I have details on it. Thanks!! MarkWard Sat Jul 05, 2025 11:17 am Can’t help with a shop, but you may need a different bellhousing and input shaft to put the wbx engine in a van that was fitted with a VW inline 4.
