Beetle.ie & Volkswagen Ireland are delighted to present
THE BALLSBRIDGE BEETLE
This is an exclusive aircooled Volkswagen only event with unmissable access to the world famous Ballsbridge Beetle, the Beetle that started global CKD assembly!
This is the first time ever that an event like this has happened. Never before has the Ballsbridge Beetle been the centrepiece of an event, anywhere in the world so this is truly a one of a kind event and YOU can be there!
Your aircooled Volkswagen will be your entry ticket, letting you drive into Volkswagen headquarters and become a participant in this once in a lifetime event.
Beetle.ie want to fill Volkswagen Ireland's headquarters with as many classic aircooled Volkswagens as possible so get your aircooled Volkswagen ready for Sunday July 27th.
We will have a professional photographer there on the day capturing this very special moment in Irish aircooled Volkswagen history and sharing it with a global audience of fellow Volkswagen enthusiasts!
There will be complimentary tea, coffee & refreshments courtesy of Volkswagen Ireland as well as unique Beetle.ie event stickers marking the occasion.
This special viewing event is exclusively open to aircooled Volkswagens only and not a public access event so this is definitely going to be an event to be part of!
This event is free, just bring your classic aircooled Volkswagen along for admittance.
When: Sunday July 27th
Where: Volkswagen Ireland Head Office, Liffey Valley, Dublin 22. D22CF60
Time: 12pm-4pm
*Please like & share this post and let's fill Volkswagen Ireland's HQ with our classic aircooled Volkswagens!
*Why not invite your friends and clubmates with aircooled Volkswagens who may not be on social media to join in on this once in a lifetime event.
*Is it time for a convoy? Absolutely! Why not organise a convoy with local aircooled Volkswagen enthusiasts to Liffey Valley. What an amazing sight it will be to have convoys of colourful aircooled Volkswagens making their way to Volkswagen HQ from all over Ireland!
If you're an aircooled Volkswagen enthusiast based on the island of Ireland, then come and see the world famous Ballsbridge Beetle before it leaves Ireland.

I hope there's a good turn out and look forward to seeing photos of the event. I had posted on 'the samba' that the car would be on display here - https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=802446 |

Thanks for that. I think it will be a fantastic event and unlike the display at Collins Barracks, this is a specific event for just aircooled VW owners along with their VeeDubs which is very cool. The Beetle will also be displayed beside other classic VWs on the day which is even better that everything will be in the one location. If you're around pop in and say hi. The more the merrier :) :bug_green: |

Here are a few pics from the Ballsbridge Beetle event that we ran in Volkswagen Ireland's HQ in Dublin. It was a super day and we saw Volkswagens from all over the island travelling to celebrate 75 years of Volkswagen in Ireland and more importantly, to see the famous Ballsbridge Beetle.

Thanks a million. It was a great success and I think everyone enjoyed it. It's nice to have something different to go to in our old VWs. |

It's an Irish assembled Oval Window Beetle that was rotting away in a field behind a VW specialist. It was for destined to be scrapped but two very talented Limerick brothers rescued it and began the transformation. It has an internal frame that keeps it all together but the modifications are out of this world. The seats are a reversed and unturned 1302 bonnet. the brass work is exceptional. It's a car that looks like it can't drive but the boys drove it all the way from Limerick to Dublin!

 wow, that's definitely a crotch cooler, how many times were they stopped by the garda?
two limerick lads found a car
that most thought had rotted too far
but with skill and scrap iron
and no lack of tryin'
showed what talented lads they are |
