That is a big bite to chew. $450.
However...some of those hoses are either NLA or close to it.
I'd hate to lose a hose on a trip, but would it be worth carrying the entire package? If I am in, say, Cody Wyoming or Bend Oregon Fallon Nevada, having those hoses night save a trip.

Bend, Oregon may actually be the best place to break down on the west coast as German Transaxle is located there!

Happy 4th folks!!!

X2. I believe that Ken (GTA Owner) and the fellas can do engine repairs.
IIRC, I asked about timing chain replacements when I picked up my EV back in December at GTA. Ken stated that they could have done the timing chains while they had my trans on the work bench.

You got me there! OK, how about Fallon Nevada?

Score. Great find. Count me as "some". For those familiar with "billable hours" and that I lack a place to wrench, this is fantastic source. I'll add this to our parts ordinance case for trips out into the hinterlands.

That's actually worth it and I may pull the trigger on one of those kits. What I see as a huge benefit is the elimination of several plastic t-fittings that can fail with no warning. Fewer clamped connections = fewer possible failure points.

The name URO puts the fear of God into anyone who has used their rubber parts.

That’s a Tampa area code, where is there stuff made? If it’s China, pass until you get your hands on it and evaluate quality. A back up kit of cheaper rubber isn’t worth $45 to me ,much less $450

Fits all 1990-2003 Eurovans with VR6 engine isn’t confidence inspiring.

UroTuning is not URO.

The silicone hose kits are from Autobahn Autoworx in SC; they back it up with a 5-year warranty.

If someone actually went to the trouble to mold these for us 8n silicone, we should buy them to keep them in business.

Looks like the manufacturer/importer has been making hoses for Corrado and others for at least 5 years, without much complaining on the interwebs.

Price isn't cheap but neither are the OEM pieces, whichever ones are still available now. If these had been available when I was refreshing my MV I would have done the full set and put the stockers in a box for spares.

I took the plunge. Thought to share the up close and personal pics. Curious as to folks observations….

edit to add that I’m clearly all in on an outfit that acknowledges the need.

I’m sure Ray will chime in but pictures don’t help here. It’s all about the formulation of the polymer which will determine function and life.

Just this weekend I had a tee-fitting blow out and leave us semi stranded on the side of a mountain. It was the tee that holds the upper coolant temp sensor. All coolant puked out. Thankfully friends were in town and just about to head up to where we were and got a 3/4 barb fitting and two jugs of coolant so we could bypass the temp sensor and get back moving.

Replacing all hoses with this and keeping the existing ones as spares seems cheap compared to being stranded in some remote spot.

That's pretty cool that they mold in the tee and elbow fittings. I would like to see the section that includes the coolant sensor that shirk suffered through. How is the sensor incorporated? Or, the bleeder valve up near the heater core connections?

I would assume that the tee for the coolant sensor is still needed. That part is still currently available as an Audi part. The sensor itself is the switch for the after run coolant pump.

What portion of these would need to altered to work with the usual external trans coolers? Anyone see issue there?

id keep in mind that there are hose clamps that are designed for silicone hose  ive got some big $$ items to address on the van and i hope that i will get a chance to buy a set before they are gone

Endopotential Tue Jul 29, 2025 1:43 pm

Would anyone know what other modifications, if any, are needed to fit our EVs? And it doesn't seem like any of the hoses are labelled as to where they go; is it obvious by looking?

Have any of you actually installed this kit yet?

I tried calling and emailing the company to no avail.

EuroTec Sat Aug 30, 2025 6:14 pm

I just pulled the trigger on this kit. I pulled my manual trans out this weekend to replace the clutch/flywheel assy. Installing a solid flywheel kit. NOT a fan of the DMF! Plus, mine is shot (lots of play)and the disc is near the point of slipping soon.

Having the trans out clears the way to replace the hoses much easier.
I'll follow up here with a few pics etc. as I install this kit.
