My buddy and I both have 61 Kombi and our VINs are 7 apart. Mine is rough but a driver and his is pretty bad. He might be selling his but is there any market for two buses that are 7 apart in VINs, even if they are rough?

Are there any buses known to exist with consecutive VIN numbers? |

If they were that close on the production line they might have some similairities in their specs like their colour, because VW seems to be building kind of batches of similair type of busses at that time.
Those busses could be kind of similair twins within the larger production of that period. I guess their is some uniqueness in that since it will be quite hard to find 2 busses 65 years later, very similair in specs, that were quite possibly made on the same day very close after one another, only 6 busses apart. I don't think there will be any value in that aspect moneywise. |

Not vin numbers but 1965 westfalia so-42 serial numbers 0014, 0020, 0021 and 0022 are documented in this thread, which I still find amazing.

I own the other bus in this thread, The M-code plates are pretty crazy, exactly the same options. -Bob- got his bus years ago in Arkansas and I found mine in the woods outside of St. Louis in February of 2024.
another shot of -bob-'s bus
