I removed this plate from the frame head assembly behind the front apron because it had some Texas Yellow over spray.
However, I did a front diagram search and I cannot identify this plate/box.
What is it, what does it do and ultimately do I need it?

Are you sure your car is a standard?
That's the "deformation panel", it helps in a crash. |
