| I need information on how to locate my 1974 VW Beetle Sedan (Original) Paint Code. I have located the plate under the hood, behind the spare tire, but it doesn't give me any information about my (Original) paint color which is some form of Orange. Somewhere down the line, someone painted it a Burgandy Color. I've been told from Wolfsburg West, that I need to obtain the birth certificate from VW. Is this so? Any information about this subject would be appreciated. Thanks. |

| It is probably brilliant orange which is L20B. There usually was a decal on the support behind the spare tire or in the door jamb with the code on it. |
