We have spotted coyotes and a lynx or two in our yard as well as a very fat and furry orange cat which appears to not be a cat at all. If you've ever seen "The Gods Must Be Crazy II" Kiko explains that the coyote only preys on those that are shorter than him. One of his kids uses a piece of tree bark to make himself just tall enough that the coyote doesn't attack him but does follow at a distance because he's suspicious. I don't know if what he said is true but I'm not curious enough to find out. |

We're just outside the city limits and in a 70's subdivision (been around a while) and we have had a bear, coyotes and mountain lions in my neighborhood. I was the only one for years who took out the garbage, as a rule. At 6'-4" and 300 pounds, I look less like prey than all the other people in the household. My 18 year old nephew has been taking it out for a couple of years now and in the winter months (when it's dark) it gets me on edge every Monday. He's 5'-6" and 132 (exactly, because he wrestles) and I'm sure he looks to a wild animal like he might could be eated. |

Southeastern PA has quite a few. I catch them on my trail cams every couple of weeks. They keep the feral cat population in check, at least until the home builders take out all the cover..

Northeastern nortth Carolina here about 1.5 hours south of Virginia beach. We have bobcats, bear, coyotes, deer, and lots of snakes, frogs, and turtles. And more spiders on the exterior of your house than you ever dreamed possible. |

We have tons of beautiful coyotes in the suburbs of Pasadena. My surveillance catches tons of funny activity and shenanigans. Every other week, we see posted signs of missing small dogs or cats. I know where they are. |
