I'll be there, except it's not on my birthday for the first time in 3 or 4 years

ok, thanks for the absolutely no help.

how about a goddamned on-line flyer with:
dates
times
when you can show up for camping
when you must leave
schedule of events for the day of the show
directions
contact info
campfire info
animal info

granted, i already know most of this stuff, but there are people who DO NOT KNOW THIS INFO!! this is no way to drum up attention or interest for people who would come from far away for your show. the info in the "shows" listing SUCKS.
i can't believe it's less than 2 months away and there is basically NO info being posted. there are people IN ALBUQUERQUE who don't know there is a show going on IN THEIR OWN TOWN the day of the show! i was hoping to get the point to someone in albuquerque that their show is rapidly approaching, and there's basically no info for it. guess they don't want anyone to show up.
way to go! great organization there folks. way to get the word out.

Jon,

I've contacted the AAA, who are running it this year, and a flyer with more information should be out shortly. I'll post here and on the calendar pages asap. Anybody who needs more info right now can call (505-247-1177) or email me (a59camper_at_yahoo.com).

Will there be a drum circle?

I sure hope not. This is held in the parking lot of a Christian (not Pagan) church. We did shoot a potato cannon at the gas balloons one year though. Ask me about the kid in the porta-potty!

Here's all the info that Shawn's putting out.

I can add that dogs are not allowed on the show grounds, but can be camped with off the pavement if restrained. NO ferocious dogs at all. No on ground campfires, but BBQ's and other off-ground firepits OK. The show is on a church parking lot, so everyone HAS to be up and gone by 9:00 Sunday morning. The site is three miles from the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta grounds, so early Saturday and Sunday, there should be up to 1000 balloons in the air as you drink your morning coffee. Also there's a free lunch during the show Saturday.

Hey John -

It's Gilbert - don't wet yourself already. Here's a link to the general info about the show:

Hope this helps - I will be adding/editing more as it is revealed to me. See you in October! (If you're head hasn't exploded at the DMV before then)
