I need to take my van to a local shop to hopefully fix the ECU non-communication issues I have been having.
One of the disturbing dash lights that is flashing is oil pressure light illuminated on the dash.
The engine runs smooth as it normally does but, I really need to verify that I have sufficient oil pressure before I drive the van to the shop Monday morning.
I know that the VCDS heading where I can read the engine reading via VCDS is #01. What I don't know and cannot find is the group number to enter so I can read the oil pressure directly.
Does anyone know the group number for reading the oil pressure in VCDS? |

| There is no oil pressure sensor, only an oil pressure switch on top of the oil filter housing. The switch simply grounds the signal when oil pressure reaches a set point. When the ECU sees low oil pressure for several seconds, it will flash the warning light. |

Thank you for the answer.
I guess since the engine doesn't make any clattering sounds like, when one doesn't have oil pressure then, the pump is working.
All this garbage started with a simple ignition switch change.
After the switch was installed, the dash lit up like a Christmas light parade.
I cannot figure out what went wrong during the switch installation but, I have no dash communication currently, other than all the fault lights are illuminated.
Hence the reason the van is going to a shop to get sorted. :( |
