Hey All,
All I can say is wow, the difference this distributor made on my car, so much adjustment with the timing plugs adding or taking away timing, springs that bring the timing in slower or faster, car is running better without the 009. The billet coil mount is awesome and plug wire included work like magic for 240.00 . Anyone on the fence do it. Thanks to everyone here for their input on this trick setup. Pat thanks for answering my question on the coil.
Texas Mike. |

Mine is just sitting on a shelf waiting for my engine to get finished. |

| Mine's in and running. Agree it's a good system. My car liked the lightest advance spring best (quickest advance). Only have about 600 miles on mine so far but no issues whatsoever. |

| I've been considering one of these distributors on my 2110cc engine. I'm currently running one of the SVDA distributors aircooled.net used to sell about 10 or 15 years ago. |

They have different ignition modules.
The clamp on the shockwave is much more universal for different aluminum cases.
The boots on the plug wires are usable in the Shockwave kit. The CB boots are terrible.
The shockwave coil uses the better HEI style Male coil post.
Very similar caps. The shockwave cap looks to be a bit cheaper made.
Same rotor.
Near identical aluminum base.
Same tuning kit in the yellow bag.
Same little generic steel brackets to hold the coil.
I prefer the billet CB coil mount. Pat offers a billet mount for his also. |

I like the shockwave and Magnspark but dont own one.
The only down side I see is getting replacement modules or rotors. If they were available as a similar GM type part that you could cross reference, that would be good. Maybe they are?
I generally dont like buying from a single source manufacturer, if possible
Also, I havent found anybody that sells just the distributors, only kits |
