Looking for any other ideas and or suggestions on how to fix this issue. I have a 70 Beetle with CB performance dropped spindle's and a 2 inch narrowed beam. As the pictures show, i have something rubbing on the inside rim. I can hear a very loud rubbing noise when I get to 20+ mph. The car pulls pretty hard the drivers side as well. The rubbing is on both drivers and passengers side. It happens in a straight line. I have 16" VW BBS rims on the car (they came of a 2001 VW Jetta). I did not have this problem, at least not that I am aware until I installed the narrowed beam. When I installed the narrowed beam I started to have the pulling/swaying issue while driving so I installed a narrowed sway bar. After installing the sway bar is when the noise became prominent. I uninstalled the sway bar but the noise is still very loud. After looking at other posts, I did install some wheel spacers with no change. If I grind/shave down the arm, I would just grind down the spot where I believe it is making contact? Or is there another approch? |

| From the pictures I can’t see where it be rubbing. If it is rubbing pulling the wheel and inspecting the inside as well the corresponding parts that could rub should reveal itself quickly. What part needs to be clearanced would depend on how much to remove or if you even should. Also it could easily be a different part in the rotating assembly. Wheel bearings being a likely culpri (failing, incorrect ones installed, improper install). |

| The alignment, especially the camber needs to be adjusted. I was unsure if those being off would cause this wheel rub. |

| The wheels might have too much offset, if so you'll need 1/4" spacer. |
