I have a 68 Ghia, new rebel wiring kit done by previous owner and was working fine! I took a few things off and a part like wiper switch, new bulbs in dash Speedo etc. on re assembly the horn sounds turning the ignition on.

I have replace steering bearing, indicator switch etc and still have the same issue. I put a tester to the steering bearing and the horn switch wire through the column and have a continuous signal, the ignition is off. Is this correct??

The rebel wiring kit is nice and simple

Black wire from steering bearing to relay.
Green wire from relay to horn
Brown Horn switch wire through column to steering box.
Brown wire from body to the horn

When I connect this, horn sounds!

Should the horn wire be a constant signal to the steering bearing?

Any guidance is welcome!

Try this thread or do a search "Horn Wiring" in the Ghia topic if it doesn't help.
