Getting ready to put my car away and washes it up. I noticed the top part of the side tail light reflector was not tischt against the body of the housing. I may have noticed this in the past but can’t remember. These are the originals and would like to keep them. I’m assuming the top clip may be weak or possibly broken. I don’t want to really pull on it. Any recommendation how to secure i to the tail light housing assembly.

There are two plastic clips for each reflector.

If you don't want to buy new, silicone glue the loose part on.

I have some 3m adhesive I used to put rubber strip on one of my windows years back. It adheres the rubber to the metal door. I will try that. I guess don’t put. A lot so it can be easily removed

Do you think double sided tape would be better?

Or instead of the half assed glue job just do it right, take off the light, squeeze the clip(s) to remove the reflector and install the new clip(s) you rob out of the $12 repro: https://airheadparts.com/vw-part/side-reflector-red-113-945-110/

Don't be one of those PO's.
