Hi Folks
Well, it happened. My wife wants her garage back, which means my bus needs to be outside. I searched the forums for this topic, but seems like the last was back in 2015: any recommendations for outdoor car cover to cover the 78 camper? It gets hot in summer and rains a fair bit in fall...and occasionally gets close to freezing in winter
thanks!
PS it occasionally hails too, but I think i'll have to risk it for now.

I have the deluxe cover from bus depot. It’s pretty nice. Heavy duty. Not crazy expensive either in my opinion. You can unzip just the doors too.

It did well here in SW PA last winter.

Following this because I am considering a cover also, in Texas.
Right now it is under a covered area but still gets the blazing summer sun on 1 side.
Considering this one. https://www.busdepot.com/a0273

I am in Oregon, so the bay has gone from paint-blistering sun in TX and AZ to being an active lichen and moss substrate!

I bought the one from Wolfsburg West

No zippers, and you need to buy an antenna grommet.

My neighbor has one on his Adventurewagon that's smooth and sorta shiny, but he doesn't know where it's from. WW version is softer on outside like cloth instead of a tarp. Has been holding off water ok so far. Big problem for me is that the inside - soft and fuzzy to protect paint - catches on all the lichen and is hard to get on/off the roof!

In any event, it's a relatively cheap solution for both versions.

I have the Bus Depot cover, it's nice.
I only occasionally use it when I need the garage for something else, it got snowed on for a couple days recently and it was fine.

I have used several different ones of the rigs we leave in Arizona and none have lasted long. The vans are parked underneath an architectural shade cloth canopy so don't even see that much sun, but the heat and low humidity, plus whatever else is in the air here eats them up. The covers with the pores in them let the fine desert dust through readily as well.

I have the Busdepot deluxe cover. I’ve had it and used it for ages outdoors in wind, rain, sun, snow. The straps eventually sun rotted, so I got some Harbor Freight tarp grippers, a bit of UV resistant rope for the side to side strap and a cheapo ratchet strap for the lengthwise strap and she lives on in high winds rain and snow. I put one of those Union 76 antenna balls from the old days on the antenna to keep it from eating holes in the cover. I love the zipper access to the doors. If and when it wears out I will promptly buy another. Fits fine over my Westy camper and even the (yuck) front mount spare tire.
