I have to travel to los angeles tomorrow and stay a week for work. As a result I will miss the transporterfest in Boston Ma this sunday. I am bummed since this is a fun show just miles from my house.
Any suggestions on how to get my vw fix in the LA area this weekend?

Sorry to hear you will miss the Transporterfest. Bummer:(

I plumbed in my gas heater last night. I still need to run the wire from the control knob to my fuse box and then try it out. I wanted to have some heat available for the early morning drive to the Transporterfest from the campground.

Have a good trip to LA and I hope you are able to get your VW fix this weekend.

hmm don't know how much free time you have buy Solvang is this weekend that is about 130 miles from LA. Too bad you couldn't be here in October for OCTO on the 10th or the 17th for Pomona.

Yes you can bring a bug to Transporterfest/VW day. We opened it up to all VWs last year. I posted more info here:
