I just bought that motor in February. I had shipping problems like Steve told me that my engine had shipped and it actually hadn't. Then when it did ship it too what seemed like forever. All the other stuff that I have gotten from him I haven't had any problems with. He does have the best prices around. I opted for the aluminum case, 041 heads with single HD springs, SCAT ligthened flywheel, SCAT C/W forged crank, cool tin, SCAT solid rocker shafts with stock rockers and Porsche adjusters, SCAT lifters, Engle W-110 can, and the HD 30mm oil pump without being full flowed. I put a 2 QT sump on it and stock doghouse tin with J-tubes and EMPI headers with dual q/p's on it. I'm running a EMPI Progressive until I can shell out the loot for the 40 Dells. Oh yea, I have a new 009 that I polished with the Compu-fire unit in it and the polished EMPI breather set-up. I have just broken 1000 miles on this engine and it's still running the wanna be ricer kids into the ground. I still have to tighten up the rear suspension though. I'm getting some wheel hop the two times I have dumped the clutch. I recently took a 100 mile round trip road trip to a show and it ran cool all the way there and back with no problems. It's attached to a freeway flyer build by Rickie Graffeo near Dallas. I am going to upgrade the heads when I swap the carbs.
He gets an A+ in product but a C in customer service. I will still buy from him again. I just know what to expect next time. I almost forgot.....NO LEAKS!!!!

I've only bought one product from Steve (new 1600DP), but here's my opinion:
If you have a problem with their product OR customer service, It's probably not them. I have called them at least 10 times since I got my new engine with questions about the install, accessories and such, and have never heard a harsh word (I'm a newbie of course) out of anyone I have talked to at their shop. My [wife's] car is running good, and I could not be happier with the service I have had from Serrano.
