I have a portugese spec 55 kombi that has its original seats inside. I know the portugese did the upholstery, fitted the glass and painted it when new but the seat frames i beleive were bought in with the buses from germany.

This bus has a 5 leg middle seat. It's real there has not been an extra leg welded on there or one cut off a barndoor middle seat. Anyone seen this before? The seat has the steel grab rail on top with aluminium ends.

BDM have flown in from the West coast to inspect it but we are no closer to knowing what the deal is with it.

Anyone shed any light on this. I will try and take a picture of it when my camera is fixed in the next couple of days.

I once had a four and two half leg middle seat. it is a different story though, it was totally hacked.

I have never heard or seen of such. how does the rest of the seat construction look? does it look like a 6 leg minus one leg or is the spacing on the legs different?

its possible the seat was made. i once made my own middle seat out of 3 seats if i would have kept that bus it would be in use now but i didnt so i scraped that project

I think thats seat is just of portugease construction aswell, they have super high seat bases also.
