Is this the same Kaferhaus Import Performance parts that sells in EBAY under "derbugman?" If so, I just got my first negative feedback from them. Here is the details. You tell me if I was wrong.
Derbugman lists a chrome fuel pump for a VW aircooled. Had an initial bid of $27.99 and I think a buy it now for $29.99 (might be wrong...but its close). It's soon to end and no bids so I put in a bid for $27.99. Auction ends on 1/14 and I win. That day I send payment via paypal. I don't hear anything so on 1/18 I send an email asking when the item would be shipped. On 1/19 I get an email saying the item is no longer available and that they refunded my money on 1/18. I check my paypal and yes, the money was refunded. So I leave negative feedback saying that I won the item, pay for it, and then they say its not available. How do you put something up for auction that you don't have? It was a 7 day auction...if you don't have it take it off! They respond to my feedback by saying it was unavailable and refunded my payment the same day...well thats a lie! They refunded my payment 4 days later and only AFTER I asked when it was gonna be shipped! Then the kicker....they leave me negative feedback with the comment "one good turn deserves another". NICE! I have asked EBAY to retract it as it is retaliatory and not based on what happened. I've worked very hard to maintain a perfect feedback score by paying immediately and shipping immediately as well.
Great vendor tho huh? If this isn't the same vendor then at least I got to vent! |

Hope ebay helps you out. I had a similar run in with a seller a few years back. Never have left a negative feedback since. Go positive just put in " Seller a rip off", or don't leave any feedback at all. Their system sucks. It can be frustrating to try and get any satisfaction from ebay.
Good luck |

Not to side with the seller, but if the money was refunded, I wouldn't have left NEGATIVE feedback. Maybe nuetral? |

It's companies like Kafterhaus I won't buy from on principal when they do that to other people. That's just bad business.

I was on the edge about the negative feedback as well but here is why I decided to leave it:
1. It was an auction. I personally have a hard time understanding how someone can offer an item for auction when you do not actually possess it. EBAY has EBAY stores for places that would rather not sell through the auction process. If it was a car, and say you won the car at the end of the auction, then when you went to make arrangements to get it the seller says "I no longer have the car", that would be grounds for negative feedback right? To me its the same thing. I never list something that I don't actually have possesion of. Plus it was a 7 day auction. End it early if you run out of stock.
2. After no communication from the seller, 4 days later I sent a question asking when it would be sent. That is when I got the response saying it was not available. Thats poor communication in my opinion. Rememeber, I paid for the item the very day I won it. If they realized they did not have the item an email from them right away explaining what happened may have changed my mind about the feedback.
Either way, the main issue is retaliatory feedback. It very much underminds the philosophy of the feedback system. Hopefully EBAY will step up to the plate. |
