I have sween two styles of beetle jack. The first has two ratcheting pivots and the other has only one. Is the single pall jack an earlier version/ I have one that is not made by Bilsien it has stampings of ab on several parts along with the VW logo. The two [pall jack I have has Bilstien markings on it. |

The newest issue of VWTrends has an article specifically on rebuilding stock jacks. It also tells which jacks came standard in all the vehicles. You might want to check that out. |

The early jacks are hard to find as they can push both up and down and shops like to make tools to compress spring plates out of them. Vic.

Don't have access to any current mags as I live in the boonies. I'd subscribe but only occasionaly do I find an article worth buying an issue for...
SO are the earliest jacks the ones with one round jack hub and the later the ones with two and what is the year that they changed designs? |
