I noticed that during hard acceleration or cornering the car has the tendency to act up ...just as if it was flooding...

Is the gas chamber in the carbs sensitive to sloshing and gas dumped in the ventury?

Is a possibility that the level of the gas is to high and I need to adjust the float?

What carbs are you running and sould you be more specific on what you mean by acting up. Does it bog down.have no power, sputter or pop. there are many factors that tie in. timing, float level. if your fuel filter is dirty your carbs may be starving under load.

ok the engine is a 1776 with 36 dual dellortos. DIS IX ignition with 0 deg timing and 50 on the spark plug gap.

The engine acts as in it had lost of gas..OPOSITE to starving...similar as the float not closing the valve during iddle. The engine recovers fast after a few seconds. It happens during hard cornering....otherwise under normal turns the car runs great and but it has a poor gas milage. :?

Someone suggested to check the jet numbers and reduce the size.
the spark plugs and exhaust tip are dark, as an indication of fuel excess.

My car is the #16 made by ACI before it changed to Vintage.
