one advantage the older idiot's guides have over newer versions, (and every other VW book for that matter), is that it is spiral bound. I love my bentleys, but i am always tempted to sawzall off the bindings and attack them with a three-hole punch and put them in a binder. it would make them a lot more convenient to use. |

i three holed punchned a newer idot guide and was not happy with the results....with all the flipping, the pages tear quickly....i have a bay window bus bently manual that has the pages removed and placed in clear plastic covers and bound in 2 large binders...very solid and nice to take out the couple pages you need for a repair and then wipe off the grease when yr done... |

I have high hopes it will make entertaining reading over the Holidays, but I'm not holding my breath.

for the record, mine was $1.99 plus $3 shipping. Like I said, I'm not holding my breath.
I remember skimming thru it in a bookstore once and thinking old John musta had some good weed when he wrote it, but maybe now that I'm older it will change my life. |

the velvet monkey wrench is a super cool book. the chapter on the monetary system bored the fuck out of me, but everything else held my attention the entire way through. like he said, its not for everybody, only those that enjoy true freedom. |

I've wondered if any one ever purchased or still one of the T shirts advertised in the end pages of the Idiot Book? It showed an oval window bug riding off into the sunset? |
