I took my engine apart to replace the rings. Now I see in one my magazines that this guy had a "fly wheel position holder" to keep the fly wheel in position while he worked on the engine. I, however, do not have one of these and have been turning the thing over and over to make sure everything works as it goes back together. Have I made a mistake? Am I screwed???

sounds like a flywheel lock for like when you have to r/r the gland nut etc.. I would not be concerned unless you put the crank, cam, and dizzy drive gear in the wrong positions, and you would not even have the flywheel on at that point and it sounds like you didn't even split the case.

No, I didn't split the case.

that's what I thought, but it's free to post and best to make sure!!! Thanks for the reply!
