Hi All

I'm trying to get my hands on a BN2 template so that I can cut out the holes to mount my heater.
Does anyone know where I can get one??
If not, can some one that has got a heater mounted, create a template for the holes please

Any help is appreciated
Thanks

What kind of car do you have? Super, Karmann Ghia, Type 3, standard Bug? All have different hole locations.

Sorry, should have mentioned that earlier, I have a 57 Oval

You're on your own. There is no factory template because VW never installed a BN-2 into any standard Beetle prior to 71.

IMO you are better off getting an earlier B2 heater since that would fit better and be period correct.

can you send me your email address so that I can forward it on to you to look at.

thanks

See the toolbar under my message? Click on "e-mail" to send me something.
In the meantime, go to "Gallery" and do a Search with my user name as submitter to see some pics of a B2 in a late standard Beetle.

I have a 63 bug that previously had a gas heater but had been removed before I got the car. The hole has not been patched yet . I decided to wait & see if I decide to put one back in . I will be glad to draw a pattern of the hole if anyone needs it . I will mail or FAX a copy . Good Day .

You should be careful with the hole locations. The sheet metal on a 63 is quite different from that of an oval window. Measure twice, cut once.

after re reading my post, i noticed i said i have a 57....don't know why i said that lol it's a 58...ragtop :-) like my name. ive been cuting up an old rusty 57, must of had that on the brain.

so how close is the 58 to the 63?
