I have just purchased a barely used Rancho pro street transaxle. w/no super diff.
Ok, now the question, what is a super diff, do I need it, is it hard to install in the trans?
Here is what I am putting the new trans in, it has a 1776 motor (stock no build up) with a single Del 40.
Thanks for your help. |

A superdiff is essentially a differential with 2 more spider gears.
It spreads out the load better with 4 spider gears rather than the stock 2 gears.
Do you need it??
I would say no...if you break the one you have now (and you probably wont) then go with a superdiff.
Installation of any differential requires setting the correct preload with a combination of shims. |
