Been looking for quite sometime to pick up a used sliding door step. Have yet to find anything. Has anyone out there ever made their own? Got any pictures/plans?

are 71-72 bumpers the same? if they are then you allready sort of have one. if they arent then take those ugly boxxy ones of anyways and put the earlier ones on

okay well personally i much more preffer the rounded ones. maybe i am just biased thinking 71 is the best year for the bay windows. not to say 72-79's are ugly hahaha no way at all i just wish they wouldnt have straightened them out.

Guess I should have been clearer with the question. I was referring to the sliding door accessory step. I have the blade style stock 72 bumpers and I prefer the look of those over the later style....

I made a set out of tubing from an aluminum bakers rack and some aluminum stair tread theyre very sturdy but I had to tig weld them together and it took alot of time. wish I had pics for ya. If you are not an experienced welder I wouldn't attempt to make them yourself.

While web surfing i came across a website in the UK that had the side steps with a wood step, it was a metal frame but the step was wood... it looked really cool. But since then i cannot for the life of me find that website again.
