im paintin my 67 bug soon. when i paint it, should i leave the fenders on, or should i paint them seperate?

Your Call!! I would loosen the bolts up a little take the beeding out and BLAST AWAY!!!
I am the low budget guy who paints his cars with house paint though(brush and roll).So my opinion is questionable...

The one thing i learned on the one project i have done so far re: painting and body work...when the fenders are off, they are much more prone to damage such as bending, dinging, etc. Also, I found that the paint spray was much more controllable when the fenders were left on. I do agree with ian, however, on loosening the bolts and putting some sort of spacer in between. I heard of one guy that took an old piece of waterhose, cut it into one inch sections then split those to fit over the bolts. this gives space for the paint to completely cover the body and the fender edges for a more factory look. (I dont think you would have to put on every bolt, but i'm not sure.) hope this helps. Big Al
