I was looking in the gallery area and saw a "model T" look alike using a VW engine in the back. Can anyone give me some leads to find more info? It looked as if you had to make a new chassis and the body seemed to be fiberglass. Can anyone help me find out more info?

Yeah I looked at that site, It's great but this car looked more like a 1927 Ford model t bucket roadster

Those were built in the 60-70's. The original is called "V-rod" and was a rod and custom magazine project vehicle. I don't think they are kits or anything. I think they are a standard fiberglass t-bucket body and custom made frame with horns for the VW motor. I'm afraid you'll have to find an old one or build one yourself.

Actually, Walt's car that you see in those last pics is an original Kent Fuller kit. Not many sold at all and nearly impossible to find today. For more info, you could contack Walt himself. He is one of the most active and contributing members over at www.volksrods.com . Just look for a post by 'Walt' and look up his info to get contact info. Or you could just introduce yourself at volksrods.com and we could lead you in the right direction from there.

But like I was saying, Walt's car was offered as a kit a long time ago but finding one would not be easy today.

Well, chickengeorge -

There are probably just as many scratch built versions (like the rod and custom magazine build car) as there were real kits made. And as cool as the concept seems to some of us, it never caught on and there are really very few of these kinds of things running around.
