Fun times at the Henderson household. My new '70 came to me with some crazy ass tails.
Meaning that the PO apparently bondo'd the taillight holes up and re-inforced it with sheet metal.
So I removed them, and beat on it with a hammer.
I was rewarded with a big ole chunk of bondo, and some metal.
Luckily, the original holes were still there, so now I just have to order a set of tails.
What did you do yesterday? |

Man, those tail lights made me want to hurl. Thanks for getting rid of them.
I have a feeling you're going to find some very interesting hack jobs as you get to know your new bus. |

Did a bit of de-greasing and cleaning of various parts, dreamed and shopped online a bit for the parts I'm going to need. Then I cried cause I cant afford them and closed the garage door in shame. |

fixed my throttle after work because it had found some way to come loose and left it running at full throttle. The little return spring had popped off. Lame. |

I took mine for a ride cause I finally have the rear 100% fixed from the an accident over the Christmas vacation. Man people don't know how much they screw up your life when they hit your bus!
Anyway...I had to beat the potential buyers off my vehicle as my kids and I went to church and did some shopping. Great to be in my beautiful bus again 8)

Today I checked the timing and adjusted the valves on my wifes "new"
'77. While she installed the freshly washed mattress covers.
First thing in the morning we'll be doing the compression test. Then, using Redline's how-to, I'm gonna' try to set up her progressive carb. If that doesn't work, I bought the rebuild kit for it :). Peace! |

ezgruv... what did you say to her? Was she bigger than you? Just loose teeth and a fat lip? Black eye perhaps?
Hope you did not hit her back! |

Nothing yesterday but today I shoveled the 3-4 feet of snow that has surrounded the bus for the last few months. I now have a 8-9 foot snow pile. |
