Any low cost options for seat covers? Even something generic would be fine. Just looking for front seats. Just need to cover up my cracked oem seats.

look at TMI. While it is apart you are likely to find some broken welds. Have them repaired while it is apart.

If you want truly inexpensive seat covers check on Amazon. They have hundreds available. Just look for some generic low back/high back seat covers.

Old beach or bath towels work nice. You can sew on straps, or simply drape them over the seats, tuck under the headrest too, or go over the headrest.

I use them in my Van and Jeep. Easy to remove and wash also.

For super cheap, look for the towels at a thrift store.

Available in a rainbow of colors and many many patterns.

Mexican blankets are practically de riguer seat covers for buses. Even tho I slapped an old set of pre-68 covers on mine, I'll probably put the blankets back on - no sticky seats in summer, no cold seats in winter.

Whatever you choose, put new coir pads in. You butt wll thank you.

What did you end up getting? I was quoted $1300 for just the seats on my double cab from my go to upholstery guy.

Do it yourself. It’s not a difficult job, but it is time consuming. There are a lot of instructional videos on YouTube. I did the seats in my Westy back in 2019. I just did the seats in my ‘65 Beetle and I think I paid around $500 for all the supplies needed. Seat covers, padding, burlap, jute and hog rings.

for the seatbacks I just slip an old hoodie jacket over the back..
I tie and tuck the sleeves into them selves and then can use the sleeve holes for holding stuff like my thermos.

a tucked and tied towel on the base goes a long ways.
