I believe they go in front of the doors and the cables go to the front heat vent in the footwell.

No they clip around the fender lip and fasten with the running board bolt also. Should not have to drill any extra holes in fender
different brand but you can see the hole/slot for the RB bolt.

Nope just means there are fires all over the USA and many fire departments are still sending equipment and personnel out to California to help.
