Grind the edges, master series, seam sealer both sides, then paint.

I use Rage gold at work, never had a problem. Started using Upol Fantastic at home, also no problems. Rage is wicked money compared to Upol.

One and a half hours... one and a half hours to remove ONE hinge pin using an air hammer. It had been soaking for multiple days in PB/ Freeze Off. Next time, it's getting done before paint.

Ah ok thanks! I tried soldering it back on but no dice, so I guess the ring connector and screw will work.
